Supported Employment Services
provides participants with training and assistance in
obtaining a competitive job in the community. This program is
designed to maximize an individual’s potential to procure a
competitive job and develop the necessary skills to maintain
his or her position in that job. Our employment specialists
are able to match the individual’s interests and abilities
with a suitable job. Job coaches are then sent out with
these individuals until the individual has mastered their job.
In addition to the Supported Employment Program,
we offer Arc Janitorial Services. This service provides
participants with a “team” oriented approach to working in the
community. A Crew Chief supervises an enclave of
participants on off-hours contracted janitorial services.
This is a major stepping stone for individuals who need
to improve their self-esteem and confidence in a supervised
work environment prior to securing an independent job in the
community.
