The Arc Recreation Programs FRIDAY NIGHT DANCE Ages 16 and over.  Participants “strut their stuff” to all types of music.  Good opportunity to socialize with old friends or meet new ones.  Refreshments are provided.  Fridays from 7 pm to 9:30 pm.  $3.00 at door. Bay Avenue Barnegat, NJ NORTHERN OCEAN RECREATION Ages 16 and over.  Various leisure activities include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, music, board games, sports activities, cooking and exercise.  Bring your own lunch.  Community outings are planned depending on availability of transportation.  Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm.  $5.00 per week, $100.00 per semester.  Semester: September-January and February-June.  Payable in one or two payments per semester. SOUTHERN OCEAN RECREATION Ages 15 and over.  Activities include music, aerobics, games, arts and crafts.  Community outings on monthly basis are also held.  Participates in Special Olympic Bowling and Track & Field.  September to June.  Fee paid with grant from Family Support Council. Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm. Tuckerton Armory 356 East Main Street (Route 9) Tuckerton, NJ PLAY CONNECTIONS Ages 4 to 18.  Serves children with autism and needs not met within our other Saturday programs.  Activities include indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, music, etc.  High ratio of staff to children provided.  Bring lunch.  Must be eligible for DDD services. Alternating Saturdays, 9 am to 2 pm (Currently NOT Available) OCEAN ROLLERS BOWLING LEAGUE Ages 16 and over.  Bowl at community lanes.  Opportunity to participate in Special Olympic events.  Weekly fee covers cost of game and shoes. Volunteers needed to coach members. September to June.  Mondays at 4 pm.  $2.00 at door. Ocean Lanes Route 88 and Lanes Mill Road. Lakewood, N.J SUMMER PROGRAMS SUMMER SOFTBALL Ages 16 and over.  “Play Ball!”  Great opportunity to get exercise, meet friends, and have fun.  We provide all equipment; however, players are encouraged to bring a mitt.  Wednesdays, 5 pm to 7 pm.  8 weeks – July and August.  $16.00.  Date and location may change due to field availability. Local Ocean County Park SUMMER RECREATION Ages 16 and over. When Northern Recreation, Southern Recreation and Sports close, Summer Recreation begins!  Trips, tours, community events, county parks, and local festivities are all part of this popular program.  There is also billiards, ping pong, basketball, board games, cooking and crafts.  Bring lunch.  Saturdays 9 am to 2 pm.  8 weeks - July and August.  $50.00.   (Additional fees may be charged for some trips.)
