We are committed to the idea of normalization and providing each individual the opportunity for full membership in the community in which they live.
The Arc's residential program provides homes for 95 individuals with developmental disabilities possessing a diverse range of capabilities. Our first group home opened its doors in 1980 paving the way for 9 additional group homes, 10 supervised apartments and 9 supportive living apartments.
Each living situation provides a different level of supervision and training to meet the needs of the individual resident. As a person develops new skills, he or she may move within the residential structure.
Our philosophy is that every individual is capable of growth. Our goal is to enable them to reach their full potential through teaching and guidance.
