Happy (Fiscal) New Year!

The Arc, Ocean County Chapter celebrated the start of the new fiscal year with our Member Exclusive Panel Discussion on Thursday, June 27th, bringing together the Board of Directors and community members for an insightful evening. 

The meeting held a special significance for The Arc's Board of Directors as they celebrated and thanked Ruth Churchill for her dedicated service as president, whose leadership and passion have been instrumental in supporting the organization's mission over the past 4 years. 

The evening also marked the induction of the new board president, Annette Appleheimer, who brings her enthusiasm and extensive experience from serving on the board for over 10 years. The heartfelt gratitude expressed for Ruth and the warm welcome extended to Annette exemplified the strong sense of community and shared purpose that defines The Arc, Ocean County Chapter.

The event later featured a panel discussion hosted by The Arc's department directors, who happily reported on their accomplishments for the 2024 fiscal year and shared their plans to continue supporting people with disabilities in the 2025 fiscal year. Overall, the event perfectly demonstrated The Arc, Ocean County Chapter's steadfast commitment to fostering a supportive community and driving innovation in their services for individuals with disabilities. It highlighted not only their past achievements but also their proactive approach to future challenges, as evidenced by the unveiling of ambitious plans for the coming year. 

The warm reception of new leadership and heartfelt appreciation for outgoing members further emphasized the organization's strong sense of unity and shared purpose, ensuring a promising trajectory towards greater inclusivity and support within the community.
