BlueClaws Baseball Community Partner Night

On July 13th, The Arc, Ocean County Chapter was recognized as the official Jersey Shore BlueClaws Community Partner for a night of fundraising, fireworks, and a first pitch!

The evening started with excitement and pride as Dominic B. and his roommate from the Pier 2 Group Home took to the mound to throw the first pitch. Dom's family from across New Jersey traveled to Lakewood to cheer on their beloved family member, a long-time baseball fan, as he lived out his dream of playing ball on an official field.

Adding to the evening's festivities, The Arc's Development Coordinator was featured on the stadium's radio station to explain all the programs and services offered to support people with disabilities in Ocean County, and how community members can get involved. Of course, the Step Up for The Arc Walk and 5K Race was mentioned since it took place at the BlueClaws Stadium a few months earlier in May, and an exciting announcement of the upcoming Casino Night fundraiser in October was made to help generate anticipation for another fantastic event.

The Arc, Ocean County Chapter is profoundly grateful for the support from the Jersey Shore BlueClaws as they continue to make the clients feel involved and valued within the community. The recognition as a Community Partner perfectly demonstrates the strong bond between The Arc and the BlueClaws, highlighting the positive impact that local businesses can have in fostering an inclusive and supportive community.
