Assemblyman Visits the North Bay ATC

Arc Ocean participants and staff with Assemblyman Paul Hendel

The Arc, Ocean County Chapter had the pleasure of hosting Assemblyman Paul Kanitra, Todd, and Kate from the local government, along with Sharon Levine from The Arc of New Jersey at our North Bay Adult Training Center in Toms River.

It was an exciting opportunity for us to share the incredible work we do and showcase the impact of our day habilitation activities and life skills programs.

The participants and staff were thrilled to give a tour of our program, showcasing favorite activities like arts and crafts and gardening. They also highlighted important life skills, such as cooking and computer skills, which foster independence and personal growth.

This visit was a great opportunity to highlight The Arc’s mission, with hopes of inspiring positive change at both local and state levels. By sharing our mission and the success stories of our participants, we aim to foster greater support and understanding in the community and beyond.

As we continue our efforts to enrich the lives of those we serve, we are grateful for the opportunity to share our work with influential community members. We look forward to more chances to demonstrate the value of our programs and the profound impact they have on the lives of our participants.

Thank you to Assemblyman Hendel, Kate, and Todd for their time and interest in our work. Together, we can continue to make a difference and advance our mission of inclusion and empowerment.
