Celebrating DSP Recognition Week

Direct Support Professional staff cooking with a client

From September 8-14, The Arc, Ocean County Chapter proudly celebrates DSP Recognition Week as a time dedicated to acknowledging the remarkable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are the backbone of our organization.

DSPs are the everyday heroes who provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence, enhance their self-worth, and enjoy fulfilling lives. These dedicated professionals work tirelessly to assist with daily living activities, skill development, and personal growth, ensuring that each individual receives the care and support they need to thrive.

As Matt Brady, Assistant Executive Director of Vocational Services, aptly puts it, “Our staff are incredible. They come in each and every day and make an indelible impact on people’s lives. Caring for their needs, building their skills, enhancing independence and self-worth, and providing amazing life experiences to ensure our participants lead the life they deserve!”

The Tuckerton Adult Training Center supervisors wanted their staff to know that "their positive attitude and strong work ethic will never go unnoticed. We appreciate all you do every day for the individuals you serve. You make a remarkable difference in their lives every day. Thank you for all you do."

Follow along on our Facebook page as we honor their unwavering commitment and the profound difference they make in the lives of those they support. To all our DSPs, we extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your tireless efforts and the incredible difference you make every day.
