Scooby Doo Halloween costumes

Halloween has come to The Arc, Ocean County Chapter and each program celebrated the season with festive fun, creative costumes, and spooky decorations.

From residential group homes to our vocational day programs, everyone got involved, adding their own unique touches to make Halloween memorable.

In our residential programs, each group home and apartment had its own special celebration. The Buckingham group home went all out with a group costume theme, where participants dressed up as characters from Scooby Doo, including the iconic Scooby, Velma, and Daphne. Meanwhile, residents of the Delaware group home hosted an outdoor costume party and welcomed friends from Powder Horn group home, Cornerstone Apartments, and Lacey Apartments for a fun-filled afternoon. Over at Laurel Oaks 2B, residents got hands-on in the kitchen, working with their cooking teacher to write a grocery list for homemade pizzas shaped like friendly ghosts.

The Halloween fun extended into the vocational day programs as well. At the Lakewood ATC, participants spent time drawing, coloring, and cutting out ghost-themed decorations for their walls. The creative session was a hit, and the group proudly displayed their handmade artwork to give their space a spooky, yet charming, Halloween atmosphere.

Rounding out the celebrations was a Halloween dance party hosted by the Recreation program. Participants arrived in a wide variety of costumes, and everyone got into the spirit of the season with lots of dancing and laughter. It was a highlight of the month, giving everyone a chance to express themselves, have fun with friends, and enjoy the Halloween magic together.

From costumes to crafts to cooking, Halloween was celebrated in diverse and delightful ways across The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, leaving lasting memories for everyone involved.
